Your Student Handbook contains a wide variety of information about School of Music policies and procedures, curriculum information for music majors, printable forms that you'll need for registration, scholarship applications, etc. If you have questions about "how to do it" in the School of Music, check the handbook first.
All music majors are automatically enrolled in the Music Majors Community on the Blackboard Course Server. This site, accessible only to NIU music majors, functions as the school's electronic bulletin board for important announcements. Supplementary materials for many music courses (e.g., sound files, etc.) are also posted on this site. Additionally, many of your professors across the university use Blackboard for their courses. Log in on the Blackboard home page and you'll see the Music Majors Community and other courses for which you have access.
